scanner usingv win 7

i'm still finding diffuclt to install scanner function usingvwin 7 for model Af 2027 and Af 2228c any help out there..

Your machines may be too old. You would be better off to set up scan to email instead.

First at all make shure, that there is the latest Firmware installed, especially the network firmware. The reason is, that win7 uses a new smb protocol which the older mashines can not handle without the upgrade.
Second, make sure, that there is a password present on the target host, because win7 refuses to show shares without it.

thanx boss, when i try using folder scan SMB ...can be ping... request password..after scan.. shows that sending data failed...or later

Try this:

- configure the same workgroup
- try accessing the shared folder from another PC, check if the log in data works from there
- switch from 128bit to 40/56bit SMB connection encryption withing windows settings.

I'm afraid you are SOL. That models firmware hasnt been updated since 2001 and wont be either. You can only get an older box (pre-vista) to host the folders or use scan to email.

Or you could install IIS on your Win 7 box, configure it as an FTP server and then use the MFD to scan to folder using the FTP protocol.

Scanrouter V2 Lite will work on 7, and may be a workaround for you. You just need to turn off "user account control" (UAC) ,if that's ok with the client, and then manually start the delivery service after installation. I've done it several times

AF2027 have SMB scanning!For AF2027 smb scanning to Win 7,you must check wether is 32 bit or 64bit.Normally is local security have block it!try check it!!
