[Misc] Ricoh Aficio 2090 problems

Dear All,

I have problems with Ricoh aficio 2090. First the machine gives error code SC401 or SC 400. Second, the quality of photocopy is very poor (I try to solved this problem by force toner - but for first 100 photocopy ok (after force), then the quality become poor, soon only blank paper without any words came out). I thought because of toner pump, so I changed it to the new one, but the problem still there. Please help me...

Hi there,

This error refers to a bias leak in the transfer roller.One possibility is a faulty power pack in the transfer unit or a poor connection between the power pack and the transfer current terminal.
Try pulling the transfer belt unit and checking around this unit.Has this unit been Rebuilt lately? If not it may need to.

Hi,

You might want to try replacing the power pack inside the Transfer belt unit and see how that goes.

Cheat the front door switch and check that the transfer belt lifts when you take a copy

Thanks guy, I think I solved about SC400/401 things. Another problem is after 100 copies, the result of the printing is blur. It's look like there are no toner supply to the developer tank. I changed the toner pump, but the problem couldn't resolved. I notice that, toner pump (at the toner bottle) didn't on while copier running. Please help me...

Bypass and Glossy Paper Misfeeding Issues

Having issues with the Bypass Tray and regular Trays on the Aficio 2090 with 11x17, 120 gsm PrePrinted Glossy Paper that misfeed's all the time. It has all new rollers and we changed everything possible wanting to know if there are any thing else we can do or if there are any different Rollers that we should look at.

you could try ordering these feed rollers they are for the2090 for glossy paper im not sure if they are for the bypass or tray
AF03 0071 AF03 1041 AF032041 I have got a set of these as i tried to fit them to an mpc6500 for glossy paper the problem is the shaft size was wrong

I have a Ricoh AF2105(2090 and 2105 is a family) and for about two month its showed me a couple of error codes.

To dissapeare SC400 and SC401,you must remove transfer belt unit.Open it and clean everything inside.Inside the copier,you must clean the part when transfer belt unit,has contact with the body of copier.You must be sure,SC400 & SC401 will dissapeare.
Do not try for a long period of time SP2207-2,because it will fill Toner Hopper with toner and after that will create preasure on pomps and tubes and will it spread tonner wherever it can and you so soon you'll get a message "Used Toner Bottle is Full",because SP2207-2(for a long time or used sometimes)spread tonner also inside Tonner Bank and makes sensors dirty.
As you say,the machine is or used too much or from much time is non-working.
If its time for a PM,you must do it and if the machine has just stayed for a long time without working,you must remove and clean,tubes,pomps,toner hopper and toner bank if you can.
That machine is a horse.
I just told you something you so soon will meet in your job.
