Sc 220-5 in aficio 3228c

One aficio 3228c is displaying sc 220-5 but in fax mode only.copying and printing no problem but if you print any fax report or any receiving file you have the code.up to now the fax unit and controller are eliminated as the cause,next step the laser unit but i was wondering if someone have seen this problem.

Probably a -4 or -5. There are two laser beams for the black, only one of which is used for the fax. So it may be dirt on the detect board or ribbon harness loose. Clean it up soldier.
