    SP5100

    Hi Guys

I have this printer doing the following. It will start-up displaying

    "System Initialising"

    and then

    "Warming Up
    Please Wait..."

The display will then go off and on with a sound that sound like a relay switch on, and the "system initialing" message will start again, followed by the Warming Up please wait" one and continue this loop.

I have replaced the power supply still no joy. I do not want to order a mainboard (they are flippen expensive) and its is something stupid i am missing.

    Any ideas???

If you have another SP5100, try to switch the Fuser, or check the thermistors.

Dont know if its a brand new machine but i guess not.

This Parts & Service manual can now be purchased for $11.77 and downloaded immediately after payment from The Internet's largest collection of manuals

I'd be willing to bet the mainboard has had it. These can be a bit of an odd bird.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

Try changing the memory Dimms. After visiting one of these today realized this machine has an hdd . Changing this should solve your problem.
