[Misc] RICOH Tessa / ricoh-support.com --> no Accounts for Dealers???

    Hi to all,

is it really true that no dealer in Europe can get an account for the RICOH Tessa / ricoh-support.com site?

RICOH Germany told us--> RICOH Europe, No accounts for Dealers will be made!

Is this really true or is this only for Germany???

NOPE, Ricoh Romania Aut. Dealers have accounts on TESSA for example! You can check it on TESSA each country!

      OK, thanks for your reply.

Would be nice if more from the other european RICOHs could confirm this.

It's bad that each RICOH country representation manages the accounts for dealers itself.

If you're a certified Ricoh Dealer you can have access to Tessa.

I know of dealers in both Germany and Italy that have access TESSA.
Ricoh & Microsoft may pay the bills but Un*x saves my ass every day.

We are certified, but it seems RICOH Germany handle things like they want...

Well that makes little sense. I know RICOH corporate, in this instance RICOH Europe, has this network for dealer support of their product. I would kick it up stairs and bypass RICOH Germany. I would be curious of why they are saying that.

I think so as well, but RICOH Europe forwards all messages and requests about Tessa from german dealers to RICOH Germany :-(

I also tried to contact webmaster (at) ricoh-europe (dot) com and the reply came from the german headquarter...

German dealers aren't suppose to access tessa but the headquarter for Ricoh in germany does maintain a non-public support website especially for dealers. This support site does contain translated bulletins, manuals etc. - "basicly" the same stuff like tessa. "Basicly", because Ricoh doesn't approve to include every single bulletin from tessa. And due to the translation service it might take some time until a bulletin shows up there.

I know of dealers in both Germany and Italy that have access TESSA.
I can't speak for the situation in Italy but those german dealers are probably "lucky" cases with the right connections, maybe ex-direct tech employees who kept their account but that's all of the book.

@dokumaxx: wie ich sehe hast du dich auch schon in dem neuen Fachhandelsforum registriert^^

                    We have access in Norway.
I thought everybody could see and download tech manuales, parts lists, take a few exams and so on.
We have to take the exam to be able to service and sell the models from Ricoh.
If we didn't have access to those databases Ricoh would loose some of the advantages we think they have compared to other brands.
We see other brands that have similar databases.

very "basicly", because the part with software especially RICOH "software" like CAP, GSNX,@Remote is not really up to date...just updates, but no info for service
