Has anyone experienced any one color adding so much toner so that the color(CMorY) is like a skyshot. mpc6000 4c 61903 , b/w 34446 copies. unplugged the toner add clutch and manually detoned, then vacuumed the "developer catch area" copies ok for now.using oem toner in a good environment.

The toner pumps are known to go bad, either not come on at all or continually run (clutch stays engaged). I generally replace the entire assy, not just the clutch. Be sure to do a developer change when/if you replace the pump.

Yes. Happened about a year ago after the customer installed a new magenta toner.
The meter count then was blk-166K & col-130K
Then I replaced the magenta charge roller at blk-184K & col-154K about 2 months later for a pink stripe call.
No calls since then other than a firmware upgrade since it was dropping off the network when set to DHCP.Comment
