I have an Mp8001 on trial replacing an Mp7500. Windows printing works fine without any issues.
The problem is when printing from their Unix server (HP-ux 11.2). BTW it isn't an AS400 server.
The Mp7500 has no issues. On the Mp8001 Letter LEF prints fine, but they get a paper mismatch screen displayed when sending legal. The screen is asking for "8 1/2 x 14 plain/recycled". The job will auto revert to letter after selecting tray 2 for legal, but get the mismatch display on the next legal tray call.
The LCD display for the paper tray sizes is blank (set to "no display" in tray settings). I have tried changing it to "recycled" which changes the LCD display, but has no effect on the paper mismatch when printing from the Unix server.
When I print out the printer config sheet, the 8 1/2 x 14 has "recycled paper not supported" next to whichever tray I designate as legal. This is where I think my issue is, but I don't know where to change it. The letter trays - both LEF & SEF - don't display this.
I've checked & re-flashed the firmware and installed the PDL filter. Ricoh didn't have an answer for the "recycled paper not supported" and I've sent them a card capture of the Unix print job, but I haven't got a resolution yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
