    MP9000 freezes up when batch scan and mixed 1/2 sided originals are scanning? HELP

    I had a MP9000 in a site that had this issue, I swapped out the machine with another MP9000 and the replacement does the same thing.....

    The problem is when you scan originals to copy using 'batch' and 'mixed1&2 sided originals' the operation panel freezes up during scanning, it occurs if you change from single to double sided and back and forth between the two frequently.

    This machine used to work apparently, until about 8 months ago so I am thinking firmware version issue? as we frequently update firmware

    Anyone heard of this type of thing?

      Definitely sounds like a firmware issue. You may want to contact tech support, if they can duplicate it they can write new firmware for it. You see these types of changes frequently when you read the firmware readme files. Or you may want to try and rollback the firmware to an earlier version if it's available.
