    @Remote

    Any of you Ricoh family techs out there using this? Either the RC Gate or the Embedded versions.

    I did the training back in April and have been in charge of @Remote for my company since. We have one RC Gate in the field, monitoring roughly 75 units, and about 10 Embedded units online.

    Just wondering...

    Hi unisys12
    We in the Uk (and Europe I think) haven't released @remote to dealers yet, only for our direct accounts at Ricoh and NRG - coming soon though.
    Looking forward to seeing and working with it - once again you guys in US are ahead of us.

      I've got one @remote running.It took a while to get things ironed out. Had some problems with auto discovery not finding all devices of other manufacturers.Then we got the "well not all manufacturers have public mib info published"

        Fridgemagnet - It might be better for you guys in the long run. Not everything has been rolled out over here either(like toner inventory tracking), so... we are still playing genie pig.

        Tonerbomb - Yeah, we were told when we got our RC Gate installed that it wouldn't pick up a few brands, like Brothers and some HP's. Which is really ok with me. But one thing I want to play with is a B222 with a EFI controller. I know the controller will not be detected with Auto Discovery through an RC Gate (since it's really a server and PC's are not detected), but since this model supports Embedded @Remote, it should work that way. Right? I mean, in theory anyway.

        One thing that I have noticed, that kinda bothers me, is receiving notifications of low toner or add toner conditions. All the Embedded units we have seem to work fine, but the units through the RC Gate seem inconsistent. I know for a fact that we have shipped toner, three different times, to this location and we have delivered toner a few times as well. But not once have I received an e-mail detecting either condition. Bear in mind that the gate has been installed for almost a year. Then, late Friday afternoon, I get a notification that a Konica Minolta 7145 is in a low toner condition. This machine was found through the RC Gates auto discovery at install of the gate and I have not set any info for it.

        Our regional tech specialist is suppose to be coming through sometime this month, so I am going to bring it up to him. If that doesn't work out, I am going to call the hot line about it.
