    3245C Black dev unit loosing developer

    I installed a second new dev unit in this machine and its gradually loosing dev . I checked the bias voltage and its at factory default setting and so is the pcu main charge . any ideas anyone ?

    Sticking dev clutch can cause this. Worn PCU can also, charge roller voltage being cranked up to make up for a worn drum.
    It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

        I'll throw may hat into the ring and double down on the clutch. Part # AX200273, might want to do all 4 since you're back there.

          +1 for the clutch. As with teebee1234, do a set of four. You are there and the clutches aren't really expensive.

            I agree on the clutch.
            If they are running more B/W than color, just replace that clutch.
            It could be years before the other clutches have problems and why waste the money
            Why do they call it common sense?

            If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

                  you would also see diagonal white line in black area a tell tale sign the developer clutch starting to fail. I also agree with the developer clutch.
                  Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
