Ricoh MP 5000 with SC 230 code

Hi has anyone ever come across this code SC 230? Received the code after doing a full PM I have replaced the BICU and the laser Unit should get a controller in tomorrow. Any input will be appreciated. Thank you

I looked in the knowledge base and most answers point to what you're doing in addition to checking harness connections. I did find one random answer that doesn't seem related but you may want to disconnect the hard drive and try again before replacing more parts. As from the Global Knowledge Base......

SC 230 is displayed on the operation panel

The printer generates an SC 230 (FGATE ON error: Bk)
Answer
Faulty or corrupt HDD. Format or replace the HDD.

Both SC's have to do with laser scan unit. One is a sync error and the other is a Fgate error. Common causes are sync detect board, laser diode unit, BICU, Power Supply and wiring problems.
