    B140 dev units squeaking

Hey, All. I've got some 2051's out there that have squeaking dev units. This seems to happen around 1 mil. I have taken a couple of these units and installed new bushings, gears and development roller. The only moving parts I didn't replace were the augers. I inspected the auger shafts and the looked really good. Anyway, these newly rebuilt units will start squeaking again in a week or two. Other than the augers causing the problem, I'm wondering if the white lithium grease I used on the auger shafts might be part of the problem.
    Anybody have squeaky dev units?

All Martini's do it after a while, not just the C2. More often that not I've found it's caused by the shaft that drives the toner seperation unit. Pull one of the bushings off one side and put a bit of WD40 in the bushings, then put it back in and run it. If it shuts the squeak up, take the shaft out, clean it off and put a bit of barrieta in there.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Right on the money, Lee. This one threw me for a loop. I thought when I energized the development motor in output mode it was driving just the development unit gears. It drives the toner separation drive shaft as well. Good call. Have a great New Year!
