Ricoh 3245C bad color reg - black only

Take a look at the attached pix:
First is Katun test chart b/w scanned in full color
Second is the same b/w test chart scanned in b/w
I have a problem in b/w color registration only.
I cleaned id sensors, ran color reg - results came OK.
But it gives me jitters on b/w, from copied images or internat prints (like network settings, config page etc...) - see especially @ pointed arrows areas on Katun bw

May sound daft but has someone adjusted the margin default settings for B&W copies ? have seen this before on other machines where a user has adjusted the setting in margin erase for a particular job but then saved them as default setting.

Just realized the jpegs have to be downloaded and seen in 100% to see the difference....
I swapped dev/drum units, cleaned dev drive sensor (separate from other units)
No go...

ok, do you get the same result if you print to the machine (assuming it has printer option) and also what ersult do you get from SP5-993-007 (Line Position Adjustment Result).
