    Fax forwarding LCD button settings

I was installing an MPc5501 and the customer told me their old unit allowed them to unhighlight the "Forward" button to make the faxes print out.

I can't figure out how to get this working. The only options I found were "Print" or "Store". When I select "Print", all incoming faxes print, but only get forwarded when I highlight "Forward" on the LCD screen. When I select "Store" none of the incoming faxes get printed, regardless of weather or not I highlight the Forward button.

What they want is when they highlight the Forward button incoming faxes get forwarded to the receptionist's workstation and don't print. When they unhighlight the Forward button incoming faxes will print so people working late can get the faxes.

Obviously I'm missing something, but I don't know what. Any help would be appreciated as I've become the subject of a nasty email sent to all the sales & service managers.

Press "User Tools" "Facsimile Features" "Reception Settings" "Forwarding" "OFF" "OK"
    That turns it off/on.

After refining my search I think I found my answer.

Thanks for your reply, but I guess I wasn't quite clear on what I was looking for.

I added the "Forward" button to the LCD screen so the customer doesn't have to go into User Tools to toggle it on/off. What I didn't think of was to go into the parameter switches and change Switch 11 bit 6 to "No Printout When Forwarding". The post (which I can't find now) also states to leave the reception setting as "Print", not "Store".

Finding this site has been a godsend for me. My whole copier world changed this past month and I'm now working on stuff I've never seen before.
