    MPC300/400 and MPC3001~5501

These are two new series of color copier we are selling in the US. Altho they are listed in the cross ref in Tessa, their is no mention of them in the CD data, such as service manual, parts cat, etc. Are you selling these on the other side of the pond? Or am I just looking in the wrong place.

No, they're definitely out. I installed 12 three weeks ago. Guess what, they take different drums too!
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

When you use the search function, you'll find the service manuals, parts, etc. They're not (yet) listed in CDROM Data.

The black PCU looks different then the other color drums. It has a metal part under it (room for a larger wax bar?). Can black drums still be used at a color drum? I see they have removed the metal pin/piece inside the plugs at the end of the PCU/DEV unit.

I have not given it any thought yet - but it's nice to know.
We just got the first machines now. We're not sure how many we're going to order. We'll probably see how the first few runs.
I had a look at the feed belts in the paper feed mechanism in the trays too. I wonder of there will be any friction problems between the two plastic parts that the belt is rotating around.
If they have solved the charge roller issue... this can be a very good machine. No cleaning roller in the fuser.. not sure how smart that is. I would have loved to see a user replaceable web there.

So TonerMunkeh.. no problems so far?

Only seen one fault so far, SC531 on install. The delivery crew stoved in one of the covers bringing it in and it jammed a fan. With regard to the oil supply roller, the C2 (MPC4000/5000) didn't have one either and I've not had any problems with them cleaning themselves. The size of the boxes for the PCU's are a bit of an issue though, they're easily twice the size of the old ones.

That's good to hear. Just hope I don't need to bring with me too many PCU's for this machine. My car is full of toner, spare parts and one box containing 1 cubic meter (or 35.3 cu ft if you like ) of PCU's for MPC25/4500 and 28/4000 series.
Still have some room left, but the LARGE toner boxes for Kyocera Taskalfa takes up a lot of space. And with the A4 model from Ricoh coming.. and the new Lexmark line.. I'll soon have to go looking for a roof box or a van.

The Uk have manuals or at least most of them in the latest DVDs Technical sent out to me recently.

I also saw they are on Tessa support although a lot of hard work searching though and downloading

I saw in another thread that the MPc300 supports SSL for scan to email. Does anyone know if the the MPc5501 also supports SSL?

Not used it yet but it mentions it supports it in the manual
