    Mpc7501 faxing issue

    Hi all,

Does anyone know how to slow down two certain speed dials so that the machine on the other end can receive faxes.
The failure only occurs with just two numbers, and if I can remember there is a setting under address book management you have to set.

Please help me out here if you can.

    Cheers
    J

You need to look at the dedicated transmission parameters:

Set the bit 0 of System Bit Switch 00 to 1.
Enter Address Book Management mode ([User Tools]> System Settings> Key Operator> Address Book Management).
Select the address book that you want to program.
For the fax parameter, select "Fax Dest.", for the E-mail parameter, select "E-mail", then press "Start". Make sure that the LED of the Start button lights green.
The settings for the switch 00 are now displayed. Press the bit number that you wish to change.
To scroll through the parameter switches, either:
    Do one of the following:
Select the next switch: press "Next"
    or
Select the previous switch: "Prev." until the correct switch is displayed. Then go back to step 6.
After the setting is changed, press "OK".
After finishing, reset bit 0 of System Bit Switch 00 to 0.
Bit switch 1 (0-3) use 0110 for the first four bits for 14.4kbps
    Initial Tx modem rate (kbps)
If training with a particular remote terminal always takes too long, the initial modem rate may be too high. Reduce the initial Tx modem rate using these bits.
For the settings 14.4 or kbps slower, Switch 04 bit 4 must be changed to 0.

    Hope this helps
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential
