MPC 4500 feint copies

Hi guys,

I have said machine in field where as when the customer does a print, it will come out faded down the page (one side more than the other as i have gathered), then it will be ok for the next job. Im thinking it could be related to the laser shutter not opening correctly on some jobs so i have ordered some sensors (laser hp sensors)

Any other ideas? ( sorry i have no samples to post)

Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

I cant rememeber if the 4500has a shutter, but the 2000,2500 and 3000 certainly do. I take them right off and leave them off when I have these weird problems.

I have had one machine faded on both copies and prints and it was a conductive bearing on the RH side of the transfer belt assy. Might be something to look at.
