I have a mpc2800 and all color drum must be replaced.
A technician has said to me that it is possible to install the drum of the SPc820 in place of those of the MPc2800.

Dont know about the Spc820 but you can modify the black drums for the Mpc2800 and use these. someone has posted a thread regading this before.

Hello,
it's possible to install the drum of the SPc820 in place of those of the MPc2800.
You just reverse the plug.

you can install the entire unit - usual modification plus (important) swapping the TD sensor
