    Ricoh 5560 Color with Fiery-7000 printing full black pages only!!

    I have Ricoh 5560 with a Fiery e-7000 installed. We had the printer up and running for awhile then we bought a different machine and didn't use the 5560 or the fiery for about 6-8 months. When we fired it back up it wouldn't do anything, just said "please wait" we had a number of different techs out to take a look and finally (10 months later) figured that it was the fiery card (which was replaced) and now we can use the machine; but only as a copier. When we start up the fiery it prints the startup page with the big "f" on it covered in black. The whole page is covered in a square of black toner. If I try to print a configuration page all I get is black. The tech said that it was probably a software issue. So I deleted all of the previous drivers and reinstalled everything...still the same outcome! The 5560 color machine works fine as a copier, no color issues. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to fix this??

      It sounds like a problem with the Fiery since copies are fine but internal prints are coming out as a big square of black.
      I'd have them try reseating the card they replaced.

      Other things to try would be reseating any cables and do a clear server. If none of that works I'd try reinstalling the system software. I can't remember but that may be SOP when replacing the video card.

          ok, lets resume.... the box works without problems until you stayed it at rest and revive it after 8 months... my guess goes to the harddisk which are known to get bad after long time just staying around (sticky bearings maybe) , so at first try to reinstall the operating system on the rip and format the hd on the mashine itself

              Ditto on the OS reload. If it was my call, I'd throw a drive in it and only have to reload the OS once. The drives in them are not what you would call robust.

              Also, you will need to get an authorized service provider to perform this task for you...
              the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
