Fusing harness on mpc3000

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced a fusing harness on an MPC 3000 to solve intermittant SC561's. The part has been modified to "facilitate assembly." Does anyone know what that means?
The reason i ask is that the part that I have been sent the unmodified harness and it looks lika a nightmare to put in.
