Ricoh Aficio 480W - Error Code SC351

I am getting this error code, and have found it to be:

SC351 ID Sensor/VSG Test Error

Of course not being a tech, I have no idea how to approach this. Any ideas. I am a mechanical engineer so I am pretty handy, but some guidance would be great.

This error says your toner/drum ratio is out of balance. First thing I would try to do is to clean the ID sensor by blowing the excess toner off. Make sure the drum is turning. Make sure the cleaning auger is turning and not dropping excess toner. Make sure cleaning blade is removing toner. As a last resort you can turn of the ID sensor in diagnostics while you are getting the machine repaired.
