MP 9001 processing ?

I have an MP 9001 that when you put a document in the feeder and press start, the display on the right side reads "processing" and on the left "copying" but nothing happens. motors dont start, documents dont feed. This is very intermittent. So it does not happen every time the machine is used.

I think that it would be a hard drive issue. If there is an address book, back it up, and then reformat the hard drive. It may need to be replaced.

thanks all of that was done. turned out to be an adf sensor issue
