    [Misc] Lanier LD120d LAN Port

    Hi!

I'm no copier repair technician. I have a Lanier (Ricoh) LD120d copier with Facsimile. I plugged in the lan port to my router and so far it doesn't appear in my router's DHCP Client list. I thought this model could be used for faxing or printing through my PC using the lan port. The User Tools doesn't show any information regarding a network.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Does your machine have PRINTER and SCANNER buttons on the control panel??? If it does, you can print and scan. You can press USER TOOLS/COUNTER->SYSTEM SETTINGS->INTERFACE SETTINGS and enable DHCP.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.

Print and scan would have been options, the LAN port is there by default and doesn't mean you are able to print or scan. If there are print and scan options showing in User Tools and there are hard keys for the functions on the operation panel then the option is likely there. Usually the IP address is set to a fixed value and therefore won't show on your router's DHCP list.

User Tools> System> Interface for settings of the NIB, assuming the print/scan kit was installed. Also 128MB RAM is part of the kit and must be there for it to work. I didn't see it in the service manual for this unit, but on many units the NIB can be disabled in SP mode and is supposed to be when there is no MFP options present.

oh I see... Yeah the buttons are not present. The place where they're supposed to be is covered by a removable plastic, I see two LED's and two buttons.

Can a print/scan kit for this model be purchased? and if yes, how hard can it be to install? I'm hoping that is just like a PC on the inside.

You'll need to check with your local Lanier dealer - I doubt that you'll find one online.

The chances are 99%+ that the dealer will have to install the option, as well. Dealers typically (OK, never) sell options like these outright.

Ah man more bad news... who's good dealer in South San Diego?

This was actually a gift from a friend, who's totally not a dealer.

Give this a try to find dealers in your area.
