[Misc] Scan to Mac via USB cable

My customer who has no network and no internet. So i set up the MPC2500 printer via USB cable to his Macintosh. Can I use the USB cable to setup the scanning feature as well? and how? Please advice. thanks...

    No, you cannot.

Scanning can only be done using the ethernet connection. Further, there are no TWAIN drivers for the Mac OS.

A lot will depend on the model. On some, you can push scan using SMB or even FTP to the Mac.

Some models have an available USB (optional) where you can scan to a jump drive or SD card. Again, an option, and not available on all models.

Thanks KenB for your fast reply.
So, using an Ethernet Hub to connect the Copier and the Mac could be a solution?

        Possibly.

What model machine do you have?
