    2015/2018 nvram question

    Hi,

I have one 2018 and the ram was demage (sc 541, sc 903). i bought one new ram and i put on the machine and the part number is 1407-5299. When i power on i got sc 903 but strange is this nvram is new ( 0 counter).
i check on part cataloge and the part numer is correct.
I took out the nvram from one 2020d and i put on the 2018 and machines works fine... did anyone already have this problem with a brand new nvram?
    thanks

    A duff NVram caused SC541?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Have you tried to put that new nvram or used the old one to other machines? we encountered one problem with MP 1600. SC 541 cant be reset even we changed the whole fusing unit and PS. We changed the BICU then ok.

Did you execute memory all clear for setting NVRAM to default setting first ?

Did you install the serial number for the machine into the new NVRAM?
