    3260c lite on half page

    Hi all,

I have customer that's a 3 hr. drive away that says the top half of her prints are lite. This is on black as they print very little color. The drum and developer only have around 20k on them. Any ideas would be appreciated. I don't work on many of these. TIA

Have seen this before where the paper transfer roller has had the spring on one end out of position. Then you get bad transfer to the paper starting about half way up the page getting worse towards the end that the spring is out of position.

Also if any work has been done on the fuser recently check that the pressure release arms are both in the right position.

More than likely the front bearing on the PTR popped out of its frame. You can press it back in but it's best to replace it. Part # B1321186.

Comatose you were correct. One of the springs had been knocked off somehow. It would have taken me a while to see that if I wasn't looking for it. Thanx.
