Ricoh machine which will staple A5 paper?

    Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone knew of a Ricoh photocopier which will staple A5 paper with a double staple preferably.

I'm struggling to get the definate answer to this and I really do need to know if there is a machine available!

    Thanks

    Hi samantha
If you only have a standard sorter not a booklet maker you cant staple A5 the
staple spec is A3 to A4SEF if you select A5 i suspect you will get an error message in the screen. as fare as i know all the ricoh sorter are the same thats why you have the booklet makers Hope this helps by the way are you based in kent as someone asked me this at work the other day

Without reading the manuals, I don't think you will find a machine that will feed A5 LEF. If I'm correct, you would not be able to double staple the long side of an A5 sheet.

BUT, as SLOT said, you could use magazine mode to produce A4 SEF folded to A5 magazines!

        Thanks

Thanks for the replies - I'm not in Kent but glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling with this.

        I have a booklet maker 2 of the machines - a 2090 and a 7001.

I was wanting to staple A5 paper as a replacement for the booklet maker. With the changing number of pages in the documents I'm producing (with a coloured cover on them) I oftn end up with one blank 'page' innside the back cover which cannot be avoided unless I want to print on the back page, which I don't.

It just looks very unprofessional and I can't think of another way around it - perhaps I should buy a stand alone booklet maker? But this increases the workload as I have to print about 1,300 of these a year in batches of about 200 / 300.

        Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help - it's so nice to find this forum because I've never been able to find much information online to help with this area of work!

without seeing the doc its hard to comment the only thing i would say is are you selecting magazine mode in d/plexas this should put all the pages in the correct order with the last page blank this should work in cover mode also
