    Error Code SC740 on a Pro 907EX

    Hi,

    have a problem on a Pro 907EX coming up with a error code SC740.

    If you detache the finisher from the machine the error code goes away, but pluged back in the machine goes down.

    help would be gratefull.

      SC740 Error code

      Is it an SR5000 finisher? If so the staple head can rotate on its' mounting plate to staple at an angle also when staples run out it rotates and comes to the front to be re-loaded. Under the mounting plate there is a curved plastic actuator and a couple of sensors. I have had a problem where one of the sensors fell out of position so was not being actuated,easy enough to remove the plate and clip the sensor back into place.
