Small chances for two faulty lasers.

HardwareGuy are you a copier tech? Are these two copiers brand new, and didn't work before, or they were working and suddenly stopped?

No, I am not the copier tech and they are brand new, out of the box
(need to remove boxes, tired of tripping over them

Didn't make any single copy yet.

Just got off the phone, talked to licensed service company for RICOH.

Some dude on the other end of the line told me that since the machine
is brand new it needs to be initiated and developer needs to be put in.

        Sad something abut OPC drums...

Just realized I have several developer bags, only don't know where to
        put them in....

Is the OPC drum already in the copier? Where is it located? Can it be filled
        with developer powder???

          Yes he is right.

As I remember, first of all you have to unlock the scanner.

Then, open the right door and front door. Take out Drum Unit (it's on the same place where you put toner) Next step is to divide Drum/OPC and developer container and pour developer material from bag into developer container. After you put it together and install into machine you'll have to enter diagnostic and initiate it.

But my advise is to call qualified tech to do it, otherwise you could do some damage to machine.

            Re: Ricoh/Founder

I have small share of experience in dealing with copiers.
Usually I deal with servers, PC's, laptops, projectors and digital cameras.

            Don't worry, I'll be careful.

Hope I'll manage to do this.

                Re: Ricoh/Founder

Just to inform you guys I have finished adding developer
to Founder ML325D copier. It works beautifully; no specs, no dirt lines!!!

I was off to a bad start, disassembled whole PCU, than realized
that wasn't a way to go.

So I put it back together and consulted service manual for
RICOH Aficio MP2000. It's amassing how these two copiers
are alike, almost identical. I also saw on the web that Founder
Technology Group Corp hired RICOH to make the copiers and supplies
suited for the Chinese market and to put their brand logo on the
product. The manual was in Chinese language so I used Google Translator,
since I don't speak Chinese (no suprise there

I thought you guys might need the service manual so I attached it.
Again, It's in Chinese, I removed restrictions so text can be copied
                to Google translator.

BTW, didn't do any "unlock the scanner" and "enter diagnostic and initiate it" deals.
Just poured the developer in, put the PCU in, shacked toner, put it back and closed the panel.

Thanks for the assist. Much appreciated.

Why didn't you take anyone's advice? You are going to have failed developer before to long. Lucky its cheap for these boxes. You have the service manual, you have came to the right place for advice, and you have ignored it. Indeed, a copier tech you are not.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. ~Thomas Edison

Glad to see you managed it. You should initiate developer, can make CQ issues.

                        Really????
I bet you DON'T have a "Founder ML325D copier", or even an MP2000, etc. If you do, and your circumstances are the same as described here, then follow the very helpful instructions here.
Otherwise, start a new thread, and describe the problem PROPERLY!
