Ricoh Aficio MP-5500 SMTP Authentication with Windows 7

Has anyone experienced a problem with Windows 7 authentication on the Ricoh MP-5500?
Firmware v3.05
Won't authenticate, even though it is set up properly. Works properly on Windows XP boxes.
Any suggestions?

How exactly are you trying to authenticate SMTP to a workstation? Do you mean a 2008 Server?
Authentication in general with W7 needs a valid user account for the machine in question.
