    I have a 2105 that is giving a sc738

    I work on Laniers, so I don't know the exact model number equivalence, but I have seen that on older machines with the hang on finisher when the output tray was broken to the point it wouldn't reach the home position sensor. Try changing the tray and see what happens.

      Have you definitely replaced the shift tray lift motor? Thats what it sounds like to me & common problem. Basically the machine will run but eventually the shift tray stops jogging up and down when copies exit causing jams or sc code, also will cause machine to show random jams

        I agree, You normally get an R7 jam followed by a code. You may find it easier to see in staple mode as the shift motor drops the tray every time a set ejects. It's only a DC motor and sticks easily.

          check the finisher exit actuator it may be banned or out of position.

            i have not replaced the shift tray motor that is my next step. and yes i have checked the exit actuator and it looks fine and swapped it with another just to make sure.
