    SC 547 on MPC 2550 and MP 4500

    We encountered SC 547 and we replaced the Power Supply then machine works. Any idea what electronic components in the power supply to be replaced. We tried to change some resistors,capacitors. Thank you

    No one I'm aware of repairs boards in the field these days. We do however use Hy-Tech for board repairs and they seem to be pretty good at it. Personally, I wouldn't muck about with a switch-mode power supply, you could end up letting the magic smoke out of other things when you go to use it .

      I wouldn't say this is a board issue. Both machines are suffering from zero cross signal malfunctions. I've had MPC4000's do this while being run off a generator and they've had unstable / dirty power. Are both machines at the same customer?
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

        The 2 Machines were in different locations. When we changed the power supply SC547 disappears when we put the old one SC 547 exist.

            Fuser conditions;

            I have found that in some cases the problem (SC-547) can be solved by putting in the screw that locks in the fuser, because the fuser connection is questionable it recieves inconsistant power. But if the old board is popping the code when it's put back in, well then...you have your culprit. Have a great weekend all.

            Peace
