Dsm622/Aficio2022 & Dsm615/Aficio2015 power issue

Hi you'll,

I've got the above mentioned machines with the same problem.

When you turn on the power switch the power saver/standby led flashes once but the machines do not come on. I had a second perfectly working Dsm622 whose components, from your keyboard down to the power switch, I swapped around with the faulty machine and you won't believe this, everything from the faulty machine worked perfect and unfortunately I can't say the same for the components fitted on the faulty machine.

Any ideas or maybe someone has once had the same problem?

if it has a document feeder fitted unplug that,

No document feeder on both machines I've tried unpluging everything I can think of and changed point of power source.

I've had a bad HDD cause the same problem.

You might want too try hdd first if not that could be firmware corrupt reload at power on does op panel light up???any service code when in service mode??

Both machines are basic no optional extra's on, just platen covers no print/scan or fax and the panel is dead the macine does not switch on except to flash on the standby led.

Hi Guys,

For those of you interested in knowing what had caused the fault on Dsm615/Aficio2015.

The harness for the scanner lamp was the culprit it some how shorted on the frame of the machine but it was not visible. Haven't managed to check on the Dsm622/Aficio2022 as yet but will update once I get the chance.

Hope this saves somebody time one day.

Thanks for posting the fix, it really helps us. Not everyone does it and can be frustrating wondering what the solution is.
