    Hi there!
    The SC-5.. is well known by Ricoh for the "Martini"-Series. Change following parts: bracket D0624196 & D0624197 , Thermistors AW100131 & AW100132 . Then make an Enginefirmware-Upgrade.
    Greetings...

We encountered it with mpc 2550 and mp 4500, we tried to repair the power supply but we were not able to fix it. Haven't tried if firmware update can solve this.

Unstable power can also cause this issue.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

Offcourse I purpose unstable power, but costumer have not problems with other sensitive electrical equipement ( computers etc. )

Computers aren't as sensitive as copiers. A customer had two MPC4000's running on a generator and would pop 547 every two days or so. Their computers never even noticed it. When they switched to mains power, the 547's stopped.

Ditto what TonerMunkeh says. They may want to invest in a Line Conditioner to even out any voltage fluctuations.
