MP - 2000 showing side door open.I replaced front door switch problem same.
Experts comments please.

If I remember correctly, there is a push swicth on the back side that recognizes that door being open or closed. Check that for correct operation.

Ricoh Push Switches often can cause paper jams or cover open warnings.

I have had numerous service calls from customers that dont realize to seat the back portion of the door fully. You can open and close the door by the handle integrated into the door and it wont close completely thereby giving a door open error.
