    Ricoh 1075 big noise

    Hello,

I am servicing a ricoh 1075 and after i have replaced Drum, Developer, cleaning blade, brush, corona unit it made about 20K and a big noise begin.

The noise it is located in the toner transportation transparent tube.

I have changed the two gears in the transportation but it happened again than i changed all the transparent tube ( the one that transports the toner from the PCU to the developer )
I also check the gears behind the PCU but they were OK.

Also it made 10K copies and the big noise begun.

I do not know what is it.PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!!!

it could be in the toner recycle auger inside the pcu. also, check the gear on the back of the pcu, they are known to fail. it makes wuite a noise when a tooth or two is broken off.

x2. There was an RTB not long after the Martini came out with regard to this. If you get one that keeps breaking the brush drive gear, put an A295 drum in the machine instead of a B070 one when you replace the gear.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Make sure you don't forget to put back the two pieces spacer.

You can shim the gear on the end of the tube auger to to allow better contact between the gears. This has worked for me in the past.

I agree. Cheat the door to make sure this is where the problem is, then whatever you can do to improve the mesh between the two auger gears. open the securing screw hole more maybe and push them together.
