toner not loading Ricoh 1106ex

got a Ricoh 1106ex and the toner bottle is half full, and the machine displays 'add toner'
any ideas?

ive checked the toner pipes and theres no blockages...

Could be the bottle set sensor is dirty, the machine may think the bottle is "in" (Open cap) when it's not, this would drive but not add toner or swap bottles. check the bottle opening drives in output mode and the sensor readings in input mode.
