    2238C won't send mutipage tiff

    Scanning to folder & e-mail multi page tiff sends as a PDF. Single page works fine and twain works fine.
    Installed latest and greatest firmware, reformatted HDD and set the default to tiff.

    Anyone else run into this?
    Why do they call it common sense?

    If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

      I am trying to scan to a TIFF file using gray scale, but the file changes to PDF or JPEG. How can I scan to a TIFF?

      Answer
      This is the Specification, see Scan Settings in the Operator's Manual. Gray scale is considered color. If you select gray scale, the file is automatically converted to color and will produce a PDF or JPEG. To create a TIFF, use a B/W setting instead.

      Because "grayscale" includes many shades of gray, it is considered a multi-color setting. This means that the file type must be PDF or JPG, so the machine changes it automatically.
      To scan to a TIFF file, you must scan in black and white, not gray scale. Black and white uses only those two colors, and no shades of gray.
