    Lanier 2138 CMF, Ricoh Af3850c, Savin SLP38c blank (dark) display

    Hello, everyone. I've got a Lanier 2138 that has lost it's backlighting in the LCD. I recall "somewhere" from long ago, it might have something to do with the rotary illumination control? Anyone here able to give me some pointers?

      I would bet the more likely scenario is that the LCD backlight went out (I've had that happen on other models). Can you still see the display characters and do you get response when you touch it? In either case, the part number for the display (without touchscreen) is B1805259. The sub unit board that has the contrast rotary control is B1801990.

          On the AF1224 / 3224 and 2238 etc the board with the control pot used to be a problem.
