    Ricoh Aficio 3045

Customer had a problem with the toner light coming on after a few copies being made. They were able to open and shut the front door to get it to go out but I noticed when I went out there that they were getting mildly dirty copies. When I checked the SP functions 2220 and 2802 there values were zeroed out. So I made adjustments to them and they seem to be holding now. What would cause such a problem so I may be able to resolve the issue in the future? Any help appreciated, thank you.

Sounds like the TD sensor's expired. New dev unit time methinks.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I'd also check the hopper - sometimes one or more mylars fell of that inner wheel, in this case the hopper doesn't load enough toner to the pcdu.

Either of these answers could be correct, though I would first check the toner hopper like Gift said and check the mag roll for filming (that would give you the dirty copies). The dirty copies were probably there before the false add toner came up.

This happens on occasion. Install another toner supply unit and see if that doesn't remedy the problem.
