This is a rebuilt machine that worked great in the shop and when it got to the customer, it wouldn't pass Letter paper, Jams at the same place every time. Right at the entrance to the transfer belt. Jam code is 14. Which is paper not getting to the fusing exit sensor. Completes the pass thru the reg sensor but just doubles up at the transfer entrance. Passes legal and ledger fine. Not letter from ANY tray.
    What are the possibilities?

I'm sure you tried cuz you're the Master Ninja Jomama, but had to ask. What about the bypass tray? also did you try feeding letter size in both LEF and SEF? Does everything look like it's turning if you cheat the door and watch the paper go through? I can't remember if there is a way to turn off jam detection on that model but if there is you may want to try that and see what happens. if it keeps jamming with the sensors turned off then it's gonna be something mechanical, if it does not jam then it will be a sensor problem.
Don't take that toner with me!

Sounds like the machine took a jolt during transportation. Can you observe the gap from the reg roller and the xfer belt, is it sitting too high/low? I seem to recall one time where the drum shaft was slipping (broken pulley on the end of the shaft in the rear), would turn enough by friction to allow process control but would jam the paper right at the nip of the drum and xfer belt. You can tell by rotating the drum by hand if that's the case.

Fearless, jamming from the BP too. LT and LT-r. Fresh Paper too. I'm hoping someone else will take a fresh look at it tomorrow. Sometimes you cant see the forest for the trees, you know?
Teebee, I observed the gap, but couldnt see anything unusual. The problem you mention ring a bell and seem to fit the symptom. I will take a look or ask the tech to take a look at the pulley.

Replaced the lower PCU to solve. I couldnt see a difference and could easily see that the pre transfer lamps were coming on. I dont know and I dont care. Its working, got the check,
          Thanks for all the ideas.
