Hi,
can anyone please tell me what Vsp, Vsg,Vsd, Vt, Vts means In Ricoh Copiers?

Vsg The ID sensor output when checking the erased drum surface
Vsp The ID sensor output when checking the ID sensor pattern image
Vtd, Vt, or Vout The output voltage of the TD sensor

Vsg should be 4.0 or close t o it, Vsp should be 0.4 or close to it. A higher amount of toner in the mix is indicated by a lower Vsp.

What are the normal values of the TD sensor output?, What does high/low levels means?

Should the values happendes to be Abnormal, how can I control those values without replaceing the dev/drum?

Vsg 4.0 is a target, light bounced off of a bare drum is measured. The exact amount is not important but more of a reference for Vsp which is more important. If Vsp is 4.0 then Vsp should be 0.4. If Vsg is 3.7 then Vsp should be .37. A low Vsg could mean a drum not being cleaned or an older not so shiny drum.
If you have light copy and Vsp is within specs, then developer is not the problem but perhaps in the optics or transfer. If the copy is light and the Vsp is higher than it should be, you can manually add toner and see if it lowers as it should. Then run the autotone adjustment and see if it holds. Its a troubleshooting method.
Vt depends on the model, When you adjust the auto tone circuit, the current mix is measured and Vt is adjusted to say, 2.5 volts. Thereafter, Vt is measured and toner is added when Vt rises above 2.5v. This can also be used as a troubleshooting tool,

Hi, all.
Currently I am having problem with my ricoh mp4500.

The Vsp reading for my machine is 1.15 something. I thought it is the hopper problem and replaced the hopper with another machine I which I have. The printout went ok with Vsp 0.09. After some copies, the Vsp went up again to 1.15 something.
Is this the sign of weak developer?

Fyi, I also tried to replace the developer unit with another machine I am using and the prints went out ok (Vsp 0.09 something). But after some copies the copies become light again and the machine ask for toner. At this time the Vsp went up to 1.1 something. Did both developer unit have weak power already?

What are signs of weak developer?

I would recommend you start a new thread for your mp 4500 to get a better response. There are multiple reasons for light copies on that model considering only the vsp or vsg is not the best bet.
