    Mpc 2500 no display

Guys. I need your help badly.

I have MPC 2500 which shows no display after boot up. The motor is running as well as the other mechanisms. After a couple of minutes the red light indicator in the printer mode and error indicator show. When you press any buttons in the 10-key, it beeps. When you touch some area in the touch panel it beeps also. I replaced the power supply unit, BICU board, and the I/O board but no luck. I checked the operation panel in the other working machine and it is working fine. I also checked the controller board and it is good also.

I will try to replace the high voltage board tomorrow but I doubt it.

Any ideas about this kind of problem? Please help!

Yeah, I disconnected the hard disk and switched the power on yet the same problem occurred. The LCD panel did not display at all. Actually, I tested the whole controller board unit to the other machine and it was working fine.

Have you tried Web Image Monitor to see what SC code is being displayed?

I was not able to see the error code through web image monitor because the machine was not in the network.

Thanks for the advice. I do really appreciate it.

Have you tried powering on with the front door open? I found this in the Knowledge Base, something to check.....
            ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The power does not come ON. The Operation Panel does not display. If you open the front cover and turn the main power ON, the Operation Panel is displayed.
(The front cover open indicator is displayed normally.) After that, the power drops off when you close the cover.
            Answer [Cause]
The harness of the fusing drive motor (GX060015) has come in contact with the motor itself and caused a short circuit.
            [Resolution]
Tape the same contact component. There is a clamp on the harness, but the harness has come close to the motor side due to a peculiarity in the harness.

This morning I went back to the customer place and I tried to replace the high voltage unit and the polygon mirror motor but still same problem.Since there was no display in the machine and a red light appeared in the operation panel, I connected the machine in the network ( as suggested by Ricohslave) and I found out that there was SC 202 (replace the transfer belt). I tried to remove the transfer belt unit but still no luck! This problem really puzzled me so much!

What can you suggest???change the technician..???hehehehe!

                  @ teebee1234

When this harness came in contact with the motor side, would it create magnetic field that will affect the display??As I checked, The coating in the wire connector of the fusing drive was good and had no open contact.

Longshot.... remove the cover from the right door (Vertical transport) an look for damaged wires chafing on the frame.

I've had this on an MPC3300 (Athena C2). Display was blank and printer light red indicating an error. Found showing SC202 using WIM.
The polygon motor was faulty and had taken out the BICU board. I replaced them both as a pair to cure. Hope this helps.

How come you found it hard to remove the ITB? have you tried removing all the PCU's fusing unit etc and tried powering on. Im sure with the pcu's out it will be alot easier to remove the ITB

                            It's a bloody machine.....

Guys, until now we're not able to locate the problem of this machine (MPC 2500) having no display but the buttons in the operation panel are working.Already replaced all the boards and had disconnected major wirings and connectors yet the solutions to the problem remain mystery.

Any more ideas to share with????
