my old drum go to out of service and i decided to buy one new drum after replace this new drum and running 3001 for ID senser initialization for new drum , all of my drum become dirty with tuner .
but after that i put old drum and all thing work well except the crash on the surface of old drum (the problem of dirty tuner after 3001 not exist for old drum)
i questioned from seller of drum and he answered me ( many drum is not compatible )
perhapse following caused creating this problem:
1- setting drum at not correct position.
2- label on the packing of new drum( for use in aficio 350/450 No. J159800631)
if anybody have any idea about this problem please introduce for all technicians to overcome this problem.
    thank you for attempts

check if that duplicate drum maybe it is not compatible with your model. most of the time they are including all models that is compatible on the label. if you see aficio 2035 then it is possible.

The part no. for the 2045 drum is A230 9510. I've never tried an AF350 drum in an AF2045. If the whole drum is covered with toner the charge roller isn't making good contact with the drum.

          The 350/450 drum is A230 9510 isn't it?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

They are the same part number fro the drum. Did you clean the charge roller. If you don't replace the charge roller at least remove it and clean it with a damp cloth with water and then dry it.

Eric has a good point. Check the spring terminals on either end of the roller. They become bent and don't make good contact.
