Ricoh Aficio 1075 & 2045esp - Windows 7 PC not finding network scanner

    All,

As title says, Aficio 1075 & 2045esp both was working fine when OS was win xp. Lately upgraded to win 7 now it is not able to find these machines as scanner. Installed the drivers etc. still it is not finding these machines as scanners. I also disabled all the firewalls etc from the machine, but still it couldn't fine. Some machines are connected to network via wireless and some through LAN cable. But both machines doesn't see the scanners.

I tried with all the versions of Windows 7 - Home Premium, Professional & ultimate

By the way, Printing from all these machines are fine.

I really appreciate any help in this regard.

    Thanks.

There are only 32 bit versions of the TWAIN drivers - no 64 bit.

Your best solution (short of upgrading the mfp's) is to put an XP box on the network, load scanrouter lite on it and use it as a file server. Done that at a few accounts where the customer had extra pc's laying around after upgrading their office. I did it as a goodwill gesture and stressed to the customer that this is not supported and any issues with scanning is technically not covered as part of their maintenance. That being said, I've haven't had any real issues otherwise. You have to make the decision if the customer is worth the trouble and whether to charge them network service fees.

Thanks a lot teebee1234 & infsergey. I will try both the options and see which one will be the best bet. Thanks a lot again.

I guess they consider these models as legacy...

I don't know if one or both of these models supports scan-to-ftp (probably not the 1075) but that would be a workaround (if supported). Just get a ftp server tool like filezilla (very easy to set up) and you're good. Worst case is to set up an XP box like already suggested or selling some fancy new machines^^
