    [Error Code] Ricoh 551 SC366

    My Ricoh 551 is having sc366 problem. It turns itself on and off non stop when I switch it on. The user manual shows HDD problem. Anyone knows how to clear and solve this problem?

      Yeah, replace the HDD.
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          i've got a ricoh 551 doing almost the same thing.
          Its not getting any service codes, it will just randomly restart during a copy job.

          when it comes back on the staple light will blink fast, sometimes it will restart multiple times, sometimes just once. Im thinking hard drive as well, although im not getting any error codes.

          I formatted the HDD with no problems.

          Thoughts anyone? Is that IDE HDD around 40-80gb? And it doesnt require special firmware, just install new drive and set jumpers correctly and good to go?
