    Password Change on MPC2050

    Hi!

I just got a call that they cant scan to folder. I went there and saw that the folder path was totaly wrong. logged in via web monitor and typed in admin, Authentication fail.
then i tryed logg in as supervisor, Authentication fail / wrong password......

This costumer has no internet connection what so ever due to secutity reason.

The costumer cant even handle a computer, so i doubt that they have change it.

What can i do? beside change the NV-RAM.

How have the passwords been changed then? Unless supervisor works the only thing you can do is change the NVram. Bill 'em!
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Just for goofs, did you try and login to User Tools on the device itself?

Yeah, but the machine does not respond when i press the KEY button, so i guess that it dosent have any password on it.

You can try performing an NCS clear with 5-801-11, and generally OK to do 5-801-10, 14, 15, 20 if the NCS didn't help. Just don't do a full clear. Did you say you can get in via the OP? If so the admin authentication isn't likely on and it will be just the WIM that shows a password being set.

Got it solved by manualy type in the IP-Adress and then use the Auth info.

The password thingy is still a ghost story

Thanks for good replys! Reps to ya all!
