From what I understand you cannot print using the USB port, only the Ethernet port.

yes i can print through nic via cross patch cord but not through usb. when i plug usb cable there is no alert of a printer detected. i install driver but still does not print. i tried a few machines and computers. it's supposed to be so simple to install a usb printer.

The 2510 was positioned to be a lower cost version of the 3025 with only RPCS printing and upgradeable to PCL. From the PPG.......

Ok, now I'm confused. Originally I found info on the TSC site that stated USB was not a print option, but the Op manual says clearly that it is (which makes more sense). Check SP 5985-2 and make sure it's set to "1". The default is "0" (off). So rsyaria and kastarama were correct, I was wrong. Lesson learned.

The product support guide says it's supported, too.

usb is enabled in sp 5985-2, i even tried turning off the nic. the machine/machines has printer/scanner type 3010 and data overwrite security, is something missing?

Off the wall suggestion from the peanut gallery, have you tried the RPCS driver? Sorry if this is old news.
