[Misc] Print issue

I have an Aficio MPC4000 that is connected for printing and scanning. When the customer sends a print job the Data In light begins to flash, but nothing else happens. There is no print job showing in job status and the machine will not let me go to system or printer settings under the user tools menu. The customer can cycle the power on the machine and it will sometimes print. There is no service code associated with this malfunction. I reseated the connectors for the HDD and Main Board, but this made no difference.

Sounds like user codes are on, as well as an admin password that's keeping you out of User Tools. Try connecting through the web interface and check the job log there. make sure you haven't powered off the machine first as that will erase the log.
