    1027 PCU fail

    Hi,

ON 11th April i put in one machine a new pcu (1027) and today client fone me becouse copys was coming out half light and half fine. i went there and i print the counter and the result is the file attached.
i try to reset again the pcu but when i do this i get sc329. i went to the values and i check vsp/vsg and vsdp value are 0.
i remove the pcu and i put in one other machine and i get the same problem. this pcu dont make more than 20k copies and is feiling. what can be the cause of this? tomorrow i will dismantle the pcu and check what is wrong! can be the td sensor demage and is causing this values to 0? for me is really strange this...
    thanks to all.

Replace the PCU and try to claim the one that's causing problems.

We have had a couple like that, but we had a local supplier and able to return them, in some cases i believe that the developer goes off after a prolonged period, due to it being on the shelf the last 5 years or more i guess, have you a dev type 18 you can use to try fix this problem

There is a possibility that you've bought an imitation PCU and thus is now causing a problem. Check with your supplier or with Ricoh directly to check its authenticity.

Possibly an dodgy PCU. The PCU product code should be 411018.
